York College and Milton Hershey School Strengthen Partnership to Support First-Generation and Low-In
York College of Pennsylvania and Milton Hershey School (MHS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance their collaboration in supporting low-income and first-generation students. The agreement formalizes a partnership aimed at providing MHS graduates with greater access to academic, financial, and career resources at York College.
"We want to strengthen our partnership with York," said Keri Ambrocik, Manager of Higher Education and Support at MHS. "We want to see more of our students go on to higher education and succeed in what they are doing. We want our students to have a high level of support on the campus they are attending, and we know York is one of the places that does that well."
The partnership includes key initiatives such as:

● Waiving the application fee for MHS students applying to York College.

● Providing housing support for MHS graduates entering college.

● Collaborating on student support programs like TRiO and Project Breakthrough.

● Ensuring MHS’s Graduate Programs for Success (GPS) division maintains ongoing
communication with York College to assist students with academic, financial, and career guidance.
