York County Bar Association Hosts Free Community Forum on the Role of the Judiciary in Democracy May
The York County Bar Association invites the public to a free, thought-provoking community education event on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, centered on the vital role of the judiciary in American democracy.
The evening will feature Dr. Nicolas Anspach, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy at York College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Anspach will explore the significance of an independent judiciary and examine the impact of recent high-profile federal court cases and their broader implications for the country.
Joining the discussion are The Honorable Maria Musti Cook, President Judge, and The Honorable John C. Uhler (Ret.), who will offer their perspectives on the judiciary’s crucial role in upholding justice and democratic principles.
The event also includes a moderated Q&A session with Judicial Candidates Chris Ferro, Esq. and Paul Minnich, Esq., providing attendees the chance to hear directly from those seeking to serve on the York County Court of Common Pleas.
