York County Food Bank and Members 1st Team Up with York Revolution to Offer Hunger-Free Thursdays

The York County Food Bank is again teaming up with Members 1st Federal Credit Union and the York Revolution to host Hunger-Free Thursdays. During each Revs Thursday home game, fans can bring non-perishable food items to the front gates and receive free entry to the game or a voucher to use for a future Thursday home game.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Revs and Members 1st for this partnership to bring awareness to food insecurity in York County. We are seeing extremely high levels of need in the community, so these Hunger-Free Thursday games come at a critical time,” according to Jennifer Brillhart, President and CEO of the York County Food Bank.

Stewartstown Food Pantry, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, York, and The Caring Ministry, three of York County Food Bank’s partner agencies, will also be collecting non-perishable food items and providing vouchers to donors. We are hoping others will join as well!

“At Members 1st, we believe in the power of partnership and the importance of giving back to the communities we serve,” says Sara Firestone, Vice President of Community & Public Relations with Members 1st. “Teaming up with the York County Food Bank and the York Revolution for Hunger-Free Thursdays is a natural fit for us, because it’s all about coming together to support our neighbors. Whether it’s through a shared love of baseball or a simple act of kindness like donating a can of food, we are proud to be part of something that makes a meaningful difference right here in York County.”
